About this 4 Days Fes to Marrakech

4 days from Fes to Marrakech through the desert of Merzouga. A trip departing from Fez to Marrakech through the Sahara Desert (Erg Chebbi). We will cross mountains of the Middle Atlas with forests of cedars, valleys, gorges, dunes and villages with history and different fortresses like the World Heritage site of the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga

After breakfast, we will start this Fes to Marrakech 4 days Desert Trip, leave for Midelt through the Middle Atlas mountains and the cedars of passing Ifrane, a pleasant resort and Azrou an important craft center specializing in woodworking. After the passage of Zad (2.178 m) we arrive at Midelt for lunch and in the afternoon we head to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz valley with its palm trees. We continue to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: :Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert by 4x4 - Merzouga - Camel Ride & Night in Desert

After breakfast heading to Khamlia village to enjoy live Gnawa music, continue through an off-road to have a tour of sand dunes then stop to have a tea with nomads in Berber tents you will discover a new sense of life.from there back to the hotel to relax before start your camel trip into the middle of the dunes in order to see the sunset then after you will arrive at the camp and spend the night under nomadic tent.


Day 3:Merzouga - Erfoud - Gorge Toudra - Dades Gorges - Dades Valley - Valley Roses - Ouarzazate

Wake up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise, when the color of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight.Arriving at the hotel to have breakfast and shower.Continue to Ouarzazate via Rissani you will stop in Erfoud: famous for its fossilized marbles where you will visit the workshop production of marble fossils.Continue to Todra Gorges its an ideal place for walking and exploring on your own.Have lunch then drive through Dades valley and the town of roses, Kelaa Mgouna we continue Through the Road of Thousand-Kasbah passing Skoura palm grove untill we arrive in Ouarzazate named “Hollywood of Morocco” and check into hotel.


Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben haddou - Marrakech

We head to Aït Benhaddou, a ‘fortified city', situated along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River and boasts some beautiful examples of kasbahs, some of which remain inhabited. Granted UNESCO World Heritage listing, the site had been the setting for many films including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. After stop for lunch then continue to Marrakech over the high Atlas mountains.
